The hill of remains, with ditch and embankments

The Plūsčių piliakalnis, located in the territory of Kelmė Regional Municipality, near the Plūsčiai village, Pakražančiai Parish, rises 8 meters in the northern slope. From the north and east, the hill is steep, from the west, the slope is gentle, with water flowing into a nearby ditch. The hill is approximately 15 meters wide. In 1967, the Lithuanian History Institute excavated the hill. The estimated date of the Plūsčių piliakalnis is the 1st (I) century. The hill is now surrounded only by vestiges of the original two ditches and embankments. The hill was built from earthen and stone walls. The Plūsčių piliakalnis is surrounded by a moat. In some places, the hill width is 3.5 meters, and the depth is 0.2 meters. 1.5 meters below the moat's base, there is another 4 meters wide terrace. The height of the hill, including mounds, is 8 meters.
