Šilgalio piliakalnis, located in Pilikė, Kelmės region, was found at the confluence of the right branch of the Ring River. It lies on an isolated hill, at the crest of a hillside slope, about 800 meters wide and 350 meters long. The oval altar of the hill fort, oriented south-east to north-west, has a width of 23x15 meters. Excavated by the Archaeological Research of the History Institute of Lithuania in 1967, it dates to the first millennium.
