Hidden in the woods of Kelmė region, Kalniškių piliakalnis is a four-sided hillfort, situated on a plateau, near Kalniškių kaimo, Vaiguvos seniūnija. The hillfort is approximately 45x33 meters in size, and about 10-20 meters high. The western entrance is protected by a ditch, about 650 meters away from the new road, and the eastern entrance is situated approximately 500 meters away, 100 meters from the south. The oldest archaeological findings at the hillfort date back to the 1st century AD.
