Originally bound for Bologna, the Palazzo Bevilacqua never found completion there. Instead, it fell into the grasping hands of the Strozzi family, an association that proved short-lived due to their waning wealth. They decided to relocate the unfinished palace to Ferrara and re-christened it Palazzo Strozzi Bevilacqua, but the stay there was brief indeed. Another transaction found the palace being dismantled and transported piece by messy piece, arriving at last in Verona. Curious, was this a palace with a penchant for migration, or was it a prophecy playing out before our eyes?
