Porta San Michele was a gate of the outer medieval walls of Verona, Italy. Built during 1542 by the architect Michele San Michele, it resembles a gate he designed for Zara in Dalmatia. Three centuries separate the two cities, but not the gate designs. In Verona, the structure served as offices for the Carnival of Verona for many years.
