The Hill Fort of Užpelkiai, Lithuania

The Hill Fort of Užpelkiai, located in Lithuania near Užpelkiai, is a historic archaeological site that dates back to the 1st Millennium. The hill fort was researched by the Lithuanian Institute of History in 1966. An unfinished flint knife was found in the central pit of the hill fort. The hill fort is built on a separate hill, oval in shape, with a width from east to west of 33x11 meters. Its western part is reinforced by a 0.3 meter high, 12 meter wide wall. The hill is made of stones that have eroded in parts with caves. The hill fort can be accessed by roads Plateliai–Gegrėnai, and also by roads Alsėdžiai–Dovainiai.
