The dismantled circular temple of Sant Vicenç d'Almenara

Sant Vicenç d'Almenara is a ruined church dedicated to Saint Vicenç màrtir, located near Pilar d'Almenara. Constructed around the 13th century, the temple has a single nave, an eastern orientation, and a circular apse. The covering of the church is a barrel vault reinforced by toral arches which rest on pilars with undecorated capitells. The stone used in the construction is imported from Sarrate. A medieval village was located near the church, but the temple was dismantled to a significant extent during the Spanish Civil War. The soldiers removed the majority of the stones that covered the temple.
