The Oval Mound, or Papirčių piliakalnis, is an archaeological site nestled in the forests of Dovydo kalnas, Kamša, Papiliakalnis, Barsuko kalnas. Hidden for centuries, this oval-shaped site plays a mysterious role in Lithuanian history. Its exact length is unknown, but it's roughly 50x40 meters in size, with one edge over a meter higher than the surrounding area. The Oval Mound is protected by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Lithuania, and was created during the Iron Age (1 BC - 1 AD). It was first discovered by the Institute of History in 1970.
