Mola Castle: Unmasking the 14th-Century Triangular Tower Mystery

The Mola Castle, situated near Valencia, Spain, was constructed under Almohad rule in the 12th century, part of the Kingdom of Murcia. In the 13th century, it was seized by the Christian forces of Infant Alfons of Castille. The castle was again occupied in the 14th century, during which the unique 'Torre de las Tres Esquinas' (Tower of the Three Corners) was erected. The castle welcomes visitors during daytime, and the Sanctuary of Santa María Magdalena, built in 1918 by a devotee of Gaudí, lies close by.
