Barsukalniu hillfort, situated in Kauno rajono savivaldybės territory, Lithuania, is an ancient oval-shaped structure. Spanning 70x45 meters and rising up to 7 meters, it served as a defensive fortification. Research suggests that it was fortified by the Tarybinės armijos during the 1950s. The defensive trenches still visible today offer a window into the past. The hillfort dates back to the first millennium A.D, as revealed by archaeologist Vida Kliaugaitė in 2004, who uncovered a 40m² plot within the structure.
