Industrial heritage: Aceñas de Pinilla

The Aceñas de Pinilla, also known as the aceñas del Cabildo, are a set of three watermills located on the left bank of the Duero river near the Spanish city of Zamora. They were owned by Zamora's cathedral cabildo from the 16th to the 19th century, with the renting of their milling providing extra income for the cabildo. The operation of the mills involved a diversion to a weir, which in turn directed water to the millstone. Since the late 20th century, they have been privately owned.
