Ancient relics found at Alsetos piliakalnis

Alsetos piliakalnis, an archaeological site located in the west bank of Šetekšnos river, in Rokiškis region, was constructed from earth and stone walls during the mid Iron Age, dating back to the 1st millennium BC. The oval-shaped hillfort has an entrance on the south-west, with dimensions of 34x18 meters. Recent explorations have found pottery fragments near a nearby shelter, revealing insights into the lives of the people who lived there centuries ago. Alsetos piliakalnis is listed as a cultural heritage site in Lithuania.
