Step inside Commana's 4,500-year-old monument: Mougau-Bihan gallery grave

The Mougau-Bihan gallery grave, also known as Ti Lia Ven, is an ancient monument situated in Commana, Finistère, France. Classified as a historic monument, this structure is believed to have been constructed around 4,500 years ago. It measures 11 meters long, with a width varying from 1 to 1.4 meters. The monument sports 17 orthostates overall (10 on each side and 1 to cover the cell). The entrance pillar, positioned unusually, features two pairs of superimposed breasts and a 'palette'. The dalle de chevet boasts a sculpture of a hache with a curved handle in the center. Despite some unknown excavation results in the mid-19th century, the monument remains a captivating piece of history.
