The Enigmatic Suvieko Piliakalnis Hillfort: A Panorama of Suvieko Lake

The hillfort of Suvieko Piliakalnis, located in Žytkalnis, Lithuania, offers a captivating view of Suvieko Lake. The fort features a four-sided structure, approximately 155x17 meters in size. A platform terrace, about 40 meters long, lies 4 meters beneath the summit and stands about 2 meters tall. The site, covering approximately 29,600 m², was registered by the Cultural Heritage Registration and Valuation Committee until 2005 and has been the subject of studies in 1949, 1972, and 1999. It is believed to date back to the 1st millennium BC, with the decision made on 2007-02-20 by the Cultural Heritage Registration and Valuation Committee.
