Jatkunis Hill, situated in Kiaušinėlis, Zaras region, offers a unique glimpse into Lithuania’s ancient past. Covering 6.2 hectares, the site is protected by the Lithuanian Heritage Protection Committee. The archaeological site and habitation site, with unique object codes 5721 and 24116 respectively, are approximately 0.3 km southwest of Jatkunis village and Jatkunis lake, and 0.37 km north of Pajuodzio lake. Jatkunis Hill is also about 0.5 km southwest of Betiski Hill. Archaeological studies from 1972, 1975, and 1985 revealed remnants of old settlement structures, pottery, tools, and millstones. The hill is estimated to be dated before the 1st millennium BC.
