Traveling Through the Ages: A History of Sundby Gård from Its Medieval Origins

Sundby Gård, located in Huddinge socken and Huddinge kommun, Stockholm County, Sweden, has a long history. Originally, an offshoot of Gladö estate, it became the main estate from the middle of the 16th century. Today, it presents a unique mix of recreation, an inn, a boat pier, picnic areas, fitness trail, stables, a farm museum, and since 2005, the Litografiska Museum. Sundby Gård has its own bus stop, serviced by line 709, and additional bus stops, serviced by lines 744 and 865, are nearby. Sundby Gård was first documented in 1331. Unfortunately, it suffered a significant event when its main building burned down on Boxing Day 1941. Remains of the main building can still be seen. The current main building was built in the 1820s, and the wing building around 1925.
