The circular route of Långsjörundan travels a brief segment on Snättringevägen, which for approximately 450 years was part of Göta Landsväg. From the 1200s, it was used as a national road by those travelling via Skanstull to and from the newly established capital city of Stockholm.
By 1670, a bridge over Årstaviken at Hornstull and a new road between Fittja and Hornstull, now known as Gamla Södertäljevägen, had been built. As a result, the segment of Göta Landsväg passing through Snättringe ceased to be a national road, but it is still used locally.
To the right of Snättringevägen, on the 1600-1800s, stood one of Snättringe farm's gatehouses, and there stood a stone referred to as the 'Snättingestone' on old maps.
