Stakliškis Triangle Hill: Echoes of an Ancient Mystery

Stakliškis Triangle Hill, a 38-metre-high structure in central Lithuania, exhibits a 15-metre triangle at its heart. With an expanse of 7000 square metres, this cultural heritage site - marked as Stakliškių II piliakalnis - houses the hill's principal part. Established in 1971 by the Historians' Institute, Stakliškis Triangle Hill was recognized by the Lithuanian government in 1998. Coins and bronze axe heads were unearthed in Stakliškių piliakalnis as early as 1957. However, the site faces gradual erosion, with parts collapsing. Yet, the identity of the hill's creators remains elusive.
