The 2025 study has revealed new details about the Pelekonių II hillfort in Lithuia, one of four such hillforts in the region. Discovered in 1971, the hillfort is located 1.1 kilometers east of the first hillfort and 1.45 kilometers west of the third hillfort. The hillfort, built in two stages and with two entrances on the west side, is north of the Nemunas river bank and standing 9 meters wide and 2 meters high with a platform of 15 meters long and 10 meters high. The hillfort was dated to the Iron Age and is 9 meters wide, 2 meters high, with a platform of 15 meters long and 10 meters high.
