The oval-shaped Bagrėno hillfort, nestled in Lithuania's Prienai district, showcases a striking 33-meter-deep, 1-2-meter-high, 6.5-13-meter-wide ditch in its western part, bending with a 0.5-meter-wide steep slope. In the northern part, a 13-meter-wide, 3-meter-deep ditch can be found. The site's terrain rises to heights of 10-20 meters. Archaeological excavations in 1953 and 1971 by the Historical Institute unveiled burned mud bricks and ceramic shards in the southern part of the site, offering glimpses into Bagrėno's hidden past.
