In 1947, the organisation Stay behind, also known as the Lindencrona committee, is formed. In the event of a Soviet occupation, it is to lead the underground Swedish resistance movement. Alvar Lindencrona, a prominent figure in the business world, is appointed leader. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization contributes to the establishment of the top secret network which meets regularly in Lindencrona's twelve-storey apartment three floors up at Stureplan 4, where Sturegaleria is located today. Even Tage Erlander, the then Prime Minister, participates in the network.
