In his youth, author Hjalmar Söderberg resides at Nybrogatan 38 (then 36), which is the only house that remains from the author's upbringing. The house at Grev Turegatan 35 (then 47A), where the family resided when he was born in July 1869, has been demolished for a long time. Neither the family's residences at Majorsgatan 10 and 12 are still standing.
