In the forested landscapes of Lithuania lies the enigmatic Narkyčių Hillfort, a testament to a civilization lost in time. Covered in trees, this oval mound conceals eerie remnants of an Iron Age culture. Discovered by archaeologists in 1971, the exact nature of this ancient hillfort remains undetermined. Yet, the area around it, protected under a visual protection zone, sprawls over 2.37 million square meters. Interestingly, the hill itself occupies just 54,000 square meters, echoing the remnants of a civilization long forgotten.
