Laukininkų Hillfort, also known as Laukininkų Piliakalnis, is a historical site located near the Antakalnis–Jieznas–Alytus–Merkinė road. From the Rimėnų-Ilgiuose crossroads, head towards the north of the power lines, up to 1.35 km away, and uncover the mysteries of this ancient hillfort. The entrance, located between two natural hill slopes, can be found approximately 129 meters from the Antakalnis–Jieznas–Alytus–Merkinė road.
The hillfort is surrounded by a ditch filled with stones and features an oval entrance, 20 meters wide and 13 meters deep. The western slope, 4 meters below the entrance level, is the western slope – the natural slope of the ancient burial mounds, a triangular mound 20 meters wide and 15 meters deep. The slopes are of approximately the same height, from 5 meters above the western slope to 14 meters above the ancient burial mounds. The hillfort was built in the first half of the 1st millennium AD and although parts have been excavated by looters, much remains to be discovered.
