Jaurelio's mound, nestled within Utena region's municipal territory, holds an enigma. An oval hill mound, it measures 75x40 meters and is distinguished by its southern part, which rests about 0.5 meters below ground level. The mound’s most notable feature is a remnant of a 10-meter high stone statue. The cultural remnants unearthed in this mound and the hill indicate human activity spanning thousands of years. Scientific investigations in 1970 and 1985 by the Lithuanian History Institute and the Scientific-Research Institute for the Protection of Cultural Property, respectively, unveiled findings now housed at the Lithuanian National Museum.
