Nestled in the Vallès Oriental, the ruins of the old church of Sant Fost de Campsentelles retain an air of antiquity. Among the most striking features is a Romanesque apse, moderately preserved, possibly from the 12th century, which could correspond to the consecration of 1141. The building's layout shows evidence of remodeling during the baroque period and a square apse from the end of the 19th century.
The parish of Sant Fost was first mentioned in 978, shortly after the first mention of the community of inhabitants of Campsentelles. It underwent various consecrations, the last of which was in 1141 by Arnau de Gurb. In 1504, it was joined with Sant Cebrià de Cabanyes, which eventually overshadowed it. Until 1592, the rector was chosen by the priora of Montalegre.
The church was remodeled during the baroque period. By the end of the 19th century, its artistic treasure was of good quality. The building was burned in 1936.
