Located in the heart of Skuodo region's territory, Erslos Pilale, often referred to as Pilale, is an ancient fortified settlement dating back to the Bronze Age. This site is a highlight for history enthusiasts. Approach it by following the Mosėdis – Ersla road and passing through the third bend of the path, leading to the excavated mound at Erslos hill, just 100 meters to the north of it. The hill, oval in shape, spans 40 x 37 meters, divided by two crypts each 147 meters long, 1 meter high, 7 meters deep, with a stone wall that could be up to 1.5 meters thick. The stone wall has a 3-meter-deep trench (entrance site). Erslos Pilale was registered in the Cultural Heritage Register in 2005 and is protected as a national cultural heritage. The territory covers an area of 0.55 ha. Discoveries from 1971 include a Bronze Age object.
