Located 1.1 km inland from the western coast of Minija, Dauginčiai hillfort, more commonly known by the local names Pilale or Pilimi, is an ancient archaeological site dating back to a medieval society. The hillfort spans approximately 45 x 45 meters, with an entrance fortified by a moat that surrounds the site and a ditch within the moat that is inactive and filled in. While the exact purpose and history of the hillfort are not well-researched, archaeological excavations and surveys have been conducted since 1966, and the hillfort is registered as a cultural heritage monument in Lithuania (registration number A1711).
