Cly is a primitive style castle located in the Italian municipality of Saint-Denis, Aosta Valley. It has been dated to the 12th century, as it was first mentioned in a document from 1207. Originally, the castle was a fief held from the Counts of Savoy until it passed to the Duchy of Savoy in 1376. The castle was abandoned in 1550 and fell into ruins in the centuries that followed. Eventually, it became the property of the nearby town of Saint-Denis. Today, the castle ruins can be seen atop a hill overlooking Chambave.
