The Magnificent 12th-Century Transformation of Teruel's Castle of Valderrobles

For seven centuries, the Castle of Valderrobles, located in Teruel, Spain, has been more than just a historic landmark. Originally constructed as a defensive tower in the late 12th century, it later underwent an impressive transformation under the jurisdiction of the Arzobispado de Zaragoza. Instead of serving as a traditional castle, it became a residence for the Arzobispos de Zaragoza. However, despite this change of function, the castle's transformation did not diminish its historical significance.
