Exploring Torre Villamar: A Grand Neoclassical Testament of Catalan Heritage

Torre Villamar, known as Can Guarino, is a protected neoclassical manor house in El Masnou, Spain, designed by Enric Sagnier in 1906, featuring French influences for a Spanish industrialist, Ricard Guarino, for his Catalan wife.

Torre Villamar, also known as Can Guarino, is a stunning neoclassical manor house in El Masnou, Spain, which draws attention through its distinctive French-inspired architectural elements, skilfully designed by Enric Sagnier in 1906. The estate was purchased by Ricard Guarino around 1900, who wed Camila Mulleras in 1895, who bore him two children named Camila and Ricard. Later, he married Rita Garcia Estaper, yet they did not bear children. As a result, the heir became their nephew, Josep Garcia Sensat. The estate is surrounded by a vast garden, featuring a semicircular terrace with balustrade barriers, an ornamental pool, the main entrance, and a separate farmhand's house.
