Can Cots

Can Cots is an isolated building in the municipality of Masnou, Spain, included in the Inventari del Patrimoni Arquitectònic de Catalunya. The building, designed by Joan creates (Joan Borja i Pons) in a rationalist or functional style, reflects the interior space through its exterior design. It displays no ornamental elements or any additions to the pure constructive forms: smooth surfaces, straight, vertical and horizontal lines, and curves derived from them. The exterior of Can Cots effectively disappears, as the building transforms into a game of volumes and geometric forms. The interior, on the other hand, is a study in open spaces and horizontal geometry.
