Located 350 meters from the road, atop a hill, Basonių piliakalnis is a first-millennium building. The archaeological site and residence spans 43x20 meters and displays a cultural layer. Today, visitors can see remnants of its inside wall, and a settlement (approximately 0.2 hectares), situated in the southern part of the site. The Lithuanian government recognized it as a protected cultural monument in 1998, making it a significant historical marker.
