Built in a single hillock, Buktymiu piliakalnis lies 900 meters from the intersection of Kruonis and Buktymiu Santininku paths. The hillfort dates back to the 1st to 2nd century AD and was discovered by the Institute of History in 1971. The central platform, 16x18 meters in size, is surrounded by a wall 1,969 meters high. On the platform stand two statues, one 8 meters and the other 1.5 meters tall. The hill was once covered with vegetation, mainly oak and pine trees.
