Nestled in the tranquil depths of a Baltic Sea lake, Veliuksnène's Hidden Treasures, a registered archaeological site, is an oval-shaped peninsula dating back to the Iron Age. Known as Object 5692, it is located 1 km northwest of Veliuksių village, Antazavė seniūnija, within Zarasų district, Sartų regional park. This unique site, covering 3.9 hectares, stands 18-19 meters high from the lake's surface and is encircled by a ditch, 45 meters long and 25 meters wide. The grounds of the archaeological site are separated into three rows of pits, with distances ranging from 0.7-2.5 meters between them. Investigations in 1949 and 1972 by the History Institute's employees have uncovered various artifacts, including stone tools, pottery fragments, metal objects, and slag, hidden within a cultural layer up to 0.8 meters deep.
