Varniškiai is an ancient hillfort dating back to the Iron Age, located in Anykščiai region, Varkujų kaime, Debeikių seniūnija, and accessible through the Šventupys–Varkujai road. The site consists of a square structure with each corner surrounded by a ditch, measuring 34x29 meters in size (2008 data). Its stone walls stand at 1.5 meters tall, with a thickness of 15 meters and a width of 20 meters. The site remains registered until 2005-04-29 and is part of a protected area covering 17405 m², with an additional 13000 m² in the visual protection zone.
