The medieval mystery of Riudecols: uncover the Torre dels Moros

Situated at the foot of the Cam de les Roques, outside Riudecols, lies the medieval Torre dels Moros, a cultural property of national interest, but shrouded in mystery due to its unofficial name. This trapezoid-shaped tower, constructed in the 16th century, rests on large stone blocks that form a sòcol. The remains of more modern loops and glacis can be found beneath the batlements, while Roman tiles have been discovered within some loopholes and merlets. Near this complex stands the base of a quadrangular tower, approximately 4 meters in size.
