The secret connection between the farm and the monastery

El Camps is a well-preserved piece of medieval architecture in Les Preses, Catalonia, that is included in the Catalan Inventory of Architectural Heritage (IPAC). The body of the farm, added in the 15th century, consists of a porch on the second floor and stables on the ground floor on the right side. On the side of the back, there exists a Gothic-style portal, which, while not necessarily a secret, hints at a more religious past. According to records, in 1412, the farmer Jaume de Camps married Francesca Calvet, and Francesca became the personal and solid property of the Abat Arnau and Monastery of Sant Benet de Bages. One of the daughters of their union, Blanca, married Berenguer de Noguerol in 1412, and the construction of the house appears to have been from the 15th century. However, none of the sources explicitly mention the Gothic-style portal on the farm's back.
