The 9th-century mystery at Uppsala Cathedral: the hidden Uppland Runic

The Uppland Runic Inscription 929 ("The Uppsala Stone") is a rune stone located outside the community of Uppsala, in Uppsala, Sweden. It was discovered in 1975 during restoration works within Uppsala Cathedral, where it was found in the floor near the Jagellonian grave chapel. The stone, in the Urnes style, consists of an inscription that starts at the bottom left and reads upwards: '. lét uppresa stenan aftyr Vige, sín fadar. Ingulv ristade runorna.' The upper right corner and some of the runes at the end of the inscription are damaged. Its original location is unknown.
