Hillfort along the Gryžuvos River: Pagryžuvio piliakalnis, a 1st-2nd century AD

Pagryžuvio piliakalnis, located in the Kelmė region of Lithuania near Tytuvėnai, is a 1st-2nd century AD hillfort. Situated on the right bank of the Gryžuvos River, it covers about 1 hectare. Its partly buried, flat-oval shape is encircled by a ditch, with the southern part standing 3.5 meters tall. A stone corridor, 4.5 meters high, also features on the hillfort. Archaeological studies were carried out in 1967 by the Lithuanian History Institute.
