The hidden hillfort on the river

The second Papilė hillfort is 1 km to the right of the first hillfort, on the left bank of the Ventös River, in Papilė town. A part of the fortified hillfort is very well preserved, particularly the right-left cliff, which rises about 20 m, and the broad platform on the right side, featuring a triangular plot, 5.5 m high above the platform, 2 m at the edge, 28 m long, and 10 m wide campfire pit. According to some sources, it was originally 30 m high, but it's also mentioned that pre-hill platforms were not used. No cultural artifacts have been found in the hillfort or its surroundings, but there were metal artifacts found near the hill.
