Lev! (Swedish for 'Live!') graces the tunnel connecting Umeå's Railway Station Square and Haga District. This unexpected transformation from a mere transit shortcut to an impressive artwork was inaugurated in 2012, on 17 November 2012, in link with the 'Autumn Light' festival and Umeå Central Station's reopening. The work is a passionate dedication to the memory of the writer, Sara Lidman. Its display boasts 16 audio channels, with four of them interactive. Among the largest glass artworks in Europe, Lev! is a dazzling spectacle that catches the eyes of those traversing beneath.
