In 1976, Umeå’s local commune commissioned local artist Stig Lindberg to create a monumental artwork. The striking result was a towering sculpture that closely resembled a jubilant man’s face, which now graces Renmark's Square. Fontänskulptur, expertly sculpted by ceramist Eje Öberg, wasn't unveiled until the square was renovated in the mid-1970s.
