The 16th-century fortress church La Church of la Soledad in Caravaca de la Cruz

La Iglesia de la Soledad, known as La Church of la Soledad, is a 16th-century fortified church located in Caravaca de la Cruz, Spain. Declared a Bien de Interés Cultural in 1997, it serves today as a museum. Constructed in the second half of the 16th century, the church underwent renovations, but not in the years 1498 and 1507 as previously stated. The original church, built in 1344, had two naves with interior fresco paintings and a main altar featuring the images of the Virgin and Jesus. The parish was transferred to the current Church of El Salvador in 1571.
