The Šeimyniškiai hillfort, located in Utena region, Šeimyniškių kaime, Užpalių seniūnija, is a complex terrain of three separate parts. The lowest part has a 4x28 meter base area and a 4-meter-high tower. The middle part, the largest, has a base area of 160x55 meters and a 130-meter-high tower. The highest part has a base area of 10x50 meters and a 1-meter-high tower. The middle part has a 0.5-meter-high, 8-meter-wide and 130-meter-long wall extending to the lower part of the hillfort.
Ceramic pieces from the Iron Age are found in the middle part. The highest part of the hillfort has a 1-meter-high, 8-meter-wide and 130-meter-long wall extending to the middle part of the hillfort. In 1958 and 1970, the Historical Institute excavated the hillfort. The hillfort is eroding towards the Piliau River, and cattle were being used to remove some parts of the hillfort by 1998. Despite the use of herbicides to prevent regrowth, they were ineffective.
Some parts of the hillfort were easily destroyed by simple and very dangerous tools. These tools did not seem to have any significant impact on the hillfort.
