A striking statue of Oliver Cromwell stands on Market Hill in St. Ives, Cambridgeshire, England. It was sculpted by F. W. Pomeroy and unveiled in 1901. The statue features Cromwell standing and pointing. Surrounded by three steps of Aberdeen granite, the statue is one of five public statues of Cromwell in the United Kingdom. St Ives seized the opportunity when a nearby town abandoned a plan to erect one.
