Prickly house with a floral twist: A Valls landmark transformed

Casa de les Punxes, located at Carrer Francesc Gumà Ferran 2 in Valls, is a local interest protected cultural heritage site. The building, despite its irregular structure, consists of a residential area and a factory. It has three stories, with a ground floor and two upper levels. The central body features doors changed on the ground floor, three balconies adorned with floral modernist-style motifs on the first floor, a square protruding body on the left forming a corner, and a terrace overlooking the first floor on this protruding body. A tower with a medieval influence and a green-tiled conical roof stands on the right. The building was originally owned by the Galimany insecticide company, with current ownership held by a Belgian company responsible for manufacturing refractory products for the international market. The factory's offices are housed within the residence.
