Doldellops

The manor of Doldellops is a national cultural heritage site in Valls (Alt Camp), Spain. Originally a granary of the Monastery of Poblet, documented since 1154, Doldellops was an important agricultural property run by the monks. In the 14th century, various mills were established at Doldellops, and a large Gothic fortified building with defensive walls and towers was built. During the War of Spanish Succession, Doldellops hosted the armies of Archiepiscopal Charles.

In the 18th century, Joan de Sagarra and Colom acquired Doldellops and restored its dependencies. A new chapel was built at Doldellops during the 1700s. Ferran de Sagarra and de Siscar sold Doldellops to architect César Martinell in 1930. Today, Doldellops is the summer residence of the Martinell family. Only the masovers reside at Doldellops year-round. The main building of Doldellops consists of a central balcony and two balconies from the 18th century.

A Gothic window is preserved at the back of the main building. The chapel at Doldellops is dedicated to Saint César. An annex building is perpendicular to the right of the main building’s facade. A vault of canó passes under the main building of Doldellops.
