Peter Wieselgren statue: Unveiling of a Swedish cultural giant

The statue of Peter Wieselgren, a well-known Swedish cultural figure, stands on Domkyrkoplan near Gothenburg's domkyrka, facing Kyrkogatan. Created by Bror Chronander, the statue was unveiled on October 1, 1910. A large crowd of approximately 2000 people attended the event. The statue was the fourth memorial to Peter Wieselgren in Sweden. The story of the statue is the subject of a book by Bengt A Öhnander titled 'Statyer berättar'.
