Villa Thiene, located in Quinto Vicentino, is a 16th-century villa. One of the first designs by Andrea Palladio, the renowned Venetian architect, it was not one of his earliest works. The villa was a testament to Palladio's development of a system of symmetry, a feature later used in other notable villas like Villa Rotonda. Although the front and rear facades have been modified since the 16th century, the original design offered a glimpse into the vision of one of history's greatest architects. A unique feature of the villa is the presence of two courtyards, which were never completed. Courtyards are relatively rare in Palladian villas, but their inclusion in Villa Thiene was a testament to Palladio's vision.
